• WHAT IS PACE MOBILE APP DESIGN CONTEST?

The Pace Mobile App Design Contest 7.0 is based on the popular hackathon. Participants form teams to create a concept mobile application using any tool (e.g., Proto.io) or a scripting/programming language (e.g., HTML5) and demonstrate it to the audience and the judging panel. Prizes are awarded based on judges' expert opinion.

 

• WHAT IS A CONCEPT MOBILE APPLICATION?

A concept mobile application is an interactive prototype software application accessible via smartphone, tablet or desktop and has the look-and-feel of a mobile application but may or may not have the programming logic to perform the associated features. It can be operated using links that go from one screen to the other.

 

• WHAT IS A HACKATHON?

A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, collaborate intensively on software projects. (Source: Wikipedia)
